The present invention relates to an image display device. The image display device according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a panel; a plurality of light sources for outputting light to the panel; a plurality of switching elements for switching the plurality of light sources; and a processor for controlling the plurality of switching elements. The processor controls the level variable current to flow for each light source string among the plurality of light sources based on local dimming data.
