METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROVIDING COMMUNICATION SERVICE BETWEEN MOBILE TERMINALS

The present invention discloses a method and apparatus for supporting a communication service between mobile communication terminals. A serving gateway according to an aspect of the present invention includes a terminal information storage part for storing the information of user terminals included in connection response messages received from a packet data network gateway in a storage; a packet analysis part for analyzing the destination IP address of an IP packet using the information of user terminals stored in the storage when receiving the IP packet from a first user terminal; and a packet transmission part for transmitting the IP packet to a second user terminal or a packet data network gateway according to the analysis result of the packet analysis part.
