The present invention relates to a skin expansion apparatus, which expands autoskin to the full outside the body to perform skin tissue culture, and to a method for expanding skin using the same. While general in-vitro autoskin expansion apparatus has a form in which constant force is applied to the skin on a regular cycle regardless of skin properties and the skin expands, the present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for figuring out a maximum area to which the skin can expand just before rupture of the skin by checking skin elasticity, and based on the same, for expanding the skin not to rupture the skin.
