EVAPORATOR

The present invention relates to a cross current evaporator configured to generate steam from heat of exhaust gas discharged from an internal combustion engine. The evaporator comprises two separated plates including a chamber among other elements. Heat exchange tubes alternately interconnect the chambers of the two plates to establish a specific path for a fluid to change a phase. The tubes extending between the chambers of the two plates are arranged in a transverse direction with respect to a flow of hot gas. The evaporator is suitable for a heat recovery system using a rankine cycle and utilizes heat from exhaust gas.
