MOBILE TERMINAL AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME

According to an embodiment of the present invention, a mobile terminal capable of connecting and communicating with a predetermined external display device comprises: a communication unit configured to receive at least one of first information and second information from the predetermined external display device which the connection for communication is set for, wherein the first information relates to a watching history for contents and the second information relates to at least one application stored in a memory of the predetermined external display device; a memory configured to store at least one from the predetermined application, the first information, and the second information; a display unit configured to display an execution screen of the predetermined application; and a control unit. The control unit controls the display unit to display icons of the at least one application on the execution screen, on the basis of the second information.
