Zusammenfassung:The present invention relates to a hull protection apparatus for an arctic vessel and an arctic vessel having the same. More particularly, since a rotating body is rotatably installed in a support structure provided on a hull, wherein the support structure is provided to prevent the hull from colliding with drift ice using rotational force when navigating in polar regions, the hull protection apparatus can directly protect the hull from colliding with the drift ice and by moving the drift ice quickly to a stern side, safety of the hull structure can be secured and also navigation resistance can be reduced. 본 발명은 극지방 운항 선박의 선체 보호장치 및 그 선체 보호장치를 구비하는 극지방 운항 선박에 관한 것으로, 극지방 운항시 유빙(遊氷)과의 충돌시 회전력을 이용하여 유빙이 선체에 충돌하는 것을 방지하도록 선체에 설치된 서포트 구조물에 회전체가 회전 가능하게 설치됨으로써, 유빙과의 충돌로부터 직접 선체를 보호하며 유빙을 빠르게 선미 측으로 이동시켜서 선체 구조 안전성을 확보할 수 있음은 물론 운항 저항을 감소시킬 수 있다.
