S/P-GW SERVING/PDN-GATEWAY AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF

The present invention relates to a Serving/Packet Data Network (S/P)-Gateway (GW) which is included in an Evolved Packet Core (EPC), which forms an Evolved Packet System (EPS) bearer in order to communicate with a communication terminal, and which provides support so that the communication terminal can be connected to a Packet Data Network (PDN) via the EPS bearer, and also relates to a method for controlling the same. According to the present invention, the method for controlling an S/P-GW comprises the steps of: receiving a request for generation of a session for generation of an EPS bearer for a communication terminal from a Mobility Management Entity (MME) included in an EPC, generating the session in response to the request, and transmitting a session generation response signal to the MME; transmitting a router advertisement signal corresponding to a router solicitation signal to the communication terminal immediately when the router solicitation signal is received from the communication terminal after the session generation response signal has been transmitted to the MME, and transmitting the router advertisement signal to the communication terminal after a preset first time has elapsed when the router solicitation signal is not received from the communication terminal before the preset first time elapses. 본 발명은 S/P-GW 및 그 제어방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 EPC(Evolved Packet Core)에 포함되고, 통신 단말기와 EPS(Evolved Packet System) 베어러를 형성하여 통신하며, 상기 통신 단말기가 해당 EPS 베어러를 경유하여 PDN(Packet Data Network)에 접속할 수 있도록 지원하는 S/P-GW(Serving/PDN-GateWay)의 제어방법은, 상기 EPC에 포함된 MME(Mobility Management Entity)로부터 상기 통신 단말기에 대한 EPS 베어러 생성을 위한 세션 생성 요청을 수신하고, 그 세션 생성 요청에 따른 세션 생성 처리를 수행한 후, 상기 MME에 세션 생성 응답 신호를 전송하는 단계와; 상기 MME에 세션 응답 신호를 전송한 이후 상기 통신 단말기로부터 라우터 요청(Router Solicitation) 신호가 수신되면 즉시 상기 라우터 요청 신호에 대응되는 라우터 알림(Router Advertisement) 신호를 상기 통신 단말기에 전송하고, 기 설정된 제1 시간 이내에 상기 통신 단말기로부터 라우터 요청(Router Solicitation) 신호가 수신되지 않으면 상기 제1 시간이 경과한 시점에 라우터 알림(Router Advertisement) 신호를 상기 통신 단말기에 전송하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
