Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to a method for protecting APD. An APD current at the moment when strong light is inputted is sensed by using a current sensor or a current mirror device. After that, an APD voltage applied to the APD is lowered and damage to the APD is prevented when a current larger than a threshold value flows through an MCU. Therefore, it is possible to prevent damage to the APD due to the input of strong light at booting, and to provide an algorithm that can be implemented by firmware without modifying a configuration circuit. 본 발명은 APD보호 방법에 관한 것으로, 강한 광이 입력되는 순간의 APD 전류를 전류센서 또는 전류미러 소자를 이용하여 감지한 다음에 MCU를 통하여 문턱값 이상의 큰 전류가 흐르는 경우 APD에 인가되는 APD 전압을 낮추어 APD의 파손을 방지한다. 따라서 부팅시 강한 광의 입력에 의한 APD의 파손을 방지할 수 있고, 구성회로를 수정하지 않고 펌웨어에 의하여 구현가능한 알로리듬을 제공할 수 있다.
