METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR RECOGNIZING UNDERWATER LANDMARK FOR COMPENSATING POSITION

Provided is a method for recognizing an underwater landmark for position compensation. The method according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of: obtaining an underwater image; calculating a distance between an image sonar and a candidate column on the basis of a shadow region of the obtained image; determining sizes of a shadow determination mask and a landmark determination mask according to the calculated distance; judging the shadow region by applying the determined shadow determination mask to a shadow candidate region of the obtained image; recognizing the size of the corresponding column by applying the landmark determination mask to the judged shadow region; repeating the size determination through size recognition steps on a plurality of columns; and judging an appropriate landmark according to the sizes and arrangement order of the columns. 위치 보정을 위한 수중 랜드마크 인식 방법이 제공된다. 본 발명의 예시적인 실시예에 따른 수중 랜드마크 인식 방법은 수중 이미지를 획득하는 단계; 상기 획득한 이미지의 그림자 영역을 기초로 이미지 소나와 후보 기둥의 거리를 산출하는 단계; 상기 산출된 거리에 따라 그림자 판단 마스크 및 랜드마크 판단 마스크의 크기를 결정하는 단계; 상기 결정된 그림자 판단 마스크를 상기 획득한 이미지의 그림자 후보 영역에 적용하여 그림자 영역을 판단하는 단계; 상기 판단된 그림자 영역에 상기 랜드마크 판단 마스크를 적용하여 해당 기둥의 크기를 인식하는 단계; 다수의 기둥에 대하여 상기 결정 단계 내지 크기를 인식하는 단계를 반복하는 단계; 및 다수의 기둥의 크기 및 배치 순서에 따라 적정 랜드마크인지를 판단하는 단계;를 포함하는 위치 보정을 위한 수중 랜드마크 인식 방법이 제공된다.
