Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to a soot removing apparatus for a direct fired furnace and a method thereof, wherein the soot removing apparatus for the direct fired furnace comprises: at least one blocking film attached to move soot to block the soot mixed with exhaust gas to be removed in an upper portion and a lower portion of a steel sheet of which a temperature is raised by a direct fired furnace to be moved in a pipe; a soot detection unit detecting a degree of generating soot moved through the pipe; and a control unit controlling an outage of the blocking film to be operated in accordance with the degree of generating the soot in the pipe. 본 발명은 직화 가열로의 검댕 제거 장치 및 방법에 관한 것으로, 직화 가열로에 의해 승온되어 배관 내부를 이동하는 강판의 상하에서 배기가스에 섞여 이동하는 검댕을 차단하기 위하여, 상기 이동하는 검댕을 부착하는 적어도 하나 이상의 차단막, 상기 배관을 통해 이동하는 검댕의 발생 정도를 검출하는 검댕 검출부, 및 상기 배관 내의 검댕 발생 정도에 따라 상기 차단막의 단수를 조정하여 작동시키는 제어부를 포함한다.
