Zusammenfassung:The present invention relates to a pouch-type secondary battery which can supply improved energy density and, more specifically, to a pouch-type secondary battery, comprising: an electrode assembly including an electrode tab; and an exterior member including a first exterior material for covering a first surface of the electrode assembly, a second exterior material for covering a second surface facing the first surface, and a third exterior material for covering a circumferential surface of a thickness side determined by the first surface and the second surface. The electrode tab protrudes through a connection unit where the first exterior material and the second exterior material are separately connected to the third exterior material, thereby the energy density can be increased. 본 발명은 파우치형 이차전지에 관한 것으로서, 보다 상세하게는 전극탭을 포함하는 전극 조립체; 및 상기 전극 조립체의 제1 면을 덮는 제1 외장재, 상기 제1 면과 대향하는 제2 면을 덮는 제2 외장재 및 상기 제1 면과 제2 면에 의해 정해지는 두께측 둘레면을 덮는 제3 외장재를 포함하는 외장부재;를 포함하고, 상기 전극탭은 상기 제1 외장재 및 상기 제2 외장재가 각각 상기 제3 외장재와 접합되는 접합부를 통해 돌출됨으로써, 에너지 밀도가 항샹될 수 있다.
