APPARATUS FOR GENERATING MUD

Disclosed is a mud generating device of a drill ship. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the mud generating device (100) of a drill ship is installed in a drill ship (10) and includes: a mud mixing hopper (110) manufacturing mud by mixing mud powder and drill water; and a drill water supply device (120) supplying the drill water to the mud mixing hopper (110). The drill water supply device (120) includes: a fresh water generator (121) manufacturing fresh water from sea water and supplying the manufactured fresh water to the mud mixing hopper (110); and a control unit (122) controlling an operation pattern of the fresh water generator (121) by kind of the mud powder.
