TURN-TAKING APPARATUS

Disclosed is a turn-taking apparatus capable of determining changes in a floor action state and an order of conversations by using an inner cognition state of a user and an external state such as eyes, utterance, gestures, back-channel in interactions between a human being and a machine including a robot, thereby providing an action corresponding to the determination. The disclosed turn-taking apparatus comprises: an order management unit for determining and managing an order of conversations by classifying inputted sensor information into inner cognition state information of a user and external state information, which are clues of a floor action, and by determining a state of a floor action based on the information; and an action adjustment unit for controlling actions according the determined order of conversations. The turn-taking apparatus according to the present invention can induce natural interactions according to changes in a user state. 인간과 로봇을 포함한 기계 장치의 상호작용에서 시선, 발화, 제스처, 맞장구(back-channel)와 같은 외적인 상태와 사용자의 내적 인지 상태를 이용하여 플로어 액션(floor action) 상태 변화와 대화의 순서를 판단하고 이에 대응하는 행위를 제공하기 위한 순서 교대 장치를 제시한다. 제시된 장치는 입력받은 센서 정보를 플로어 액션의 단서가 되는 외적 상태 정보와 사용자의 내적 인지 상태 정보로 분류하고, 이들 정보를 바탕으로 플로어 액션의 상태를 결정하여 대화 순서를 결정하고 관리하는 순서 관리부, 및 결정된 대화 순서의 상태에 따라 행동을 제어하는 행위 조정부를 포함한다.
