DYNAMIC SINGLE PHOTON GENERATOR BASED ON PHOTON NUMBER COUNTER

A dynamic single photon generator based on a photon counter according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a photon source for performing the function of a light source; a beam splitter for splitting a photon pulse, which is output from the photon source, into at least two paths; a photon counter for detecting the number of photons included in one photon pulse split and transmitted from the beam splitter; a voltage controlled optical attenuator for attenuating the other photon pulse split and transmitted from the beam splitter to enable an output photon pulse to include a single photon; and a processing unit for calculating an attenuation value of the voltage controlled optical attenuator based on the number of the photons detected by the photon counter and controlling the voltage controlled optical attenuator based on the calculated attenuation value. The dynamic single photon generator of the present invention can increase the single photon pulse generation probability of the photon source. 본 발명의 일 실시 예에 따른 광자개수검출기에 기반한 동적 단일광자발생기는, 광원의 기능을 수행하는 광원소스, 상기 광원소스로부터 출력되는 광자 펄스를 적어도 2개 이상의 경로로 분배하는 광분배기, 상기 광분배기로부터 분배되어 전달되는 어느 하나의 광자 펄스에 포함된 광자의 개수를 검출하는 광자개수검출기, 상기 광분배기로부터 분배되어 전달되는 다른 하나의 광자 펄스를 감쇠하여 출력되는 광자 펄스가 단일광자를 포함하도록 하는 전압 제어형 광감쇠기, 및 상기 광자개수검출기에서 검출된 광자의 개수에 기반하여, 상기 전압 제어형 광감쇠기의 감쇠값을 산출하고, 산출된 감쇠값을 바탕으로 전압 제어형 광감쇠를 제어하는 처리부를 포함할 수 있다.
