Zusammenfassung:	Provided is a stereoscopic image display device capable of improving quality of a 3D image, while alleviating level difference by conducting a compensation process only for data in an area in which the level difference has occurred. The stereoscopic image display device comprises: an image panel, an image compensation unit, and a data operation unit. The image compensation unit is configured to estimate a position on the image panel, on which the level difference is expected to occur so as to define a compensation area and compensate for data included in the compensation area to generate compensation image data. 단차현상이 발생된 영역의 데이터에 대해서만 영상보상을 하여 단차현상을 개선하면서 3D 영상품질을 높일 수 있는 입체영상표시장치가 제공된다. 입체영상표시장치는 영상패널, 영상보상부 및 데이터구동부를 포함하고, 영상보상부는 영상패널에서 단차현상이 발생될 위치를 추정하여 보상영역을 정의하고, 보상영역에 해당되는 데이터를 보상하여 보상영상데이터를 생성한다.
