FLEXIBLE DISPLAY APPARATUS

The present invention suggests a support structure of a flexible display to support flexible display to prevent the flexible display from being damaged and to guide the deformation of the flexible display. A flexible display device according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: the flexible display; a main support unit to support a first area of the flexible display; first and second sub support units to support second and third areas of the flexible display adjacent to the first area, respectively; and hinge units to connect the main support unit and the first and second sub support units. The flexible display has first to third configurations as the first and second sub support units are folded or unfolded towards the main support unit with the hinge units as the center. The first configuration is a configuration wherein the first and second sub support units are unfolded from the main support unit and the first to third areas are exposed to the outside. The second configuration is a configuration wherein the first or second sub support unit is folded to the main support unit and a part of the first area and the second and third areas are exposed to the outside. The third configuration is a configuration wherein the first and second sub support units are folded towards the main support unit and a part of the first area is exposed to the outside. 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 플렉서블 디스플레이 장치는 플렉서블 디스플레이; 상기 플렉서블 디스플레이의 제1 영역을 지지하는, 메인 지지부; 상기 제1 영역에 이웃하는 상기 플렉서블 디스플레이의 제2 및 제3 영역을 각각 지지하는, 제1 및 제2 서브 지지부; 및 상기 메인 지지부와 상기 제1 및 제2 서브 지지부를 각각 연결하는 힌지부들; 을 포함하며, 상기 제1 및 제2 서브 지지부가 상기 힌지부들을 중심으로 상기 메인 지지부를 향해 폴딩 또는 언폴딩됨에 따라 상기 플렉서블 디스플레이는 제1 내지 제3 형태(configuration)를 가지되, 상기 제1 형태는, 상기 제1 및 제2 서브 지지부가 상기 메인 지지부로부터 언폴딩되어 상기 제1 내지 제3 영역이 외부로 노출된 형태이고, 상기 제2 형태는, 상기 제1 또는 제2 서브 지지부가 상기 메인 지지부로 폴딩되어 상기 제1 영역의 일부, 및 상기 제2 또는 제3 영역이 외부로 노출된 형태이고, 상기 제3 형태는, 제1 및 제2 서브 지지부가 상기 메인 지지부를 향해 폴딩되어 상기 제1 영역의 일부가 외부로 노출된 형태일 수 있다.
