Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to a motor driving device and a method for driving the motor. The motor driving device includes a control part which outputs a control signal for controlling the motor according to a type of the motor; a driving part which outputs a driving signal to each phase of the motor according to a control signal outputted from the control part; and a connector which connects the control part and the driving part and comprises an identification signal line for providing an identification signal from the driving part to the control part according to the type of the motor. So, the motor can be driven by automatically recognizing the type of the motor. 본 발명은 모터 구동 장치 및 방법에 관한 것으로, 모터의 유형에 따라 모터를 제어하기 위한 제어신호를 출력하는 제어부; 제어부로부터 출력되는 제어신호에 따라 모터의 각 상으로 구동신호를 출력하는 구동부; 및 제어부와 구동부 간을 연결하며, 모터의 유형에 따른 식별신호를 구동부로부터 제어부로 제공하는 식별신호라인을 구비한 커넥터를 포함하는 모터 구동 장치를 개시한다.
