Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to a secondary battery which comprises: an electrode assembly of a stacked structure which includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a separator interposed between the positive and negative electrodes; and an electrode lead which is electrically connected to electrode tabs of the electrode assembly, and extracted to the outside of a battery case. The electrode tab and the electrode lead form a coupling unit electrically interconnected by ultrasonic welding. An outer surface of the coupling unit is covered by a thermosetting sealing member. 본 발명은 양극, 음극, 및 상기 양극과 음극 사이에 개재되는 분리막을 포함하는 적층 구조의 전극조립체, 및 상기 전극조립체의 전극 탭들과 전기적으로 연결되며 전지케이스의 외부로 인출된 전극리드를 포함하고 있고, 상기 전극 탭과 전극리드는 초음파 용접에 의해 전기적으로 상호 연결된 결합부를 형성하고 있으며, 상기 결합부의 외면은 열융착된 밀봉부재에 의해 감싸여 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 이차전지를 제공한다.
