MOBILE TERMINAL AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME

The present invention relates to a mobile terminal and a method for controlling the same in which at least a part of the display can be twisted or bent. The mobile terminal according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a flexible display unit including a first portion, a second portion rotatably provided based on a first boundary region formed at one side of the first portion, and a third portion rotatably provided based on a second boundary region formed at one side of the second portion; and a controller configured to control screen information being output to at least one of the first portion, the second portion and the third portion, based on a preset touch input applied to at least one of the first portion, the second portion and the third portion, wherein the controller is configured to control screen information being output to at least one of the first portion, the second portion and the third portion, based on sensing of a rotation on the basis of at least one of the first and second boundary regions. It is an object of the present invention to provide a mobile terminal having a new type of body by using a flexible display unit which can be folded or bent.
