Zusammenfassung: | Disclosed is a method for accurately measuring the arterial stiffness based on ultrasonic images. According to one embodiment of the present invention, an ultrasound apparatus comprises: an ultrasonic waves transceiver unit for transmitting ultrasonic waves to an object and receiving ultrasonic echo signals reflected from the object; a control unit for extracting how much the diameter of blood vessels changes based on the ultrasonic echo signals; and a display unit for displaying at least one image which displays the graph of blood pressure of the object and the point of inflection on the graph of blood pressure, based on the extracted changes on the diameter of blood vessels. Additionally, the control unit is capable of measuring the arterial stiffness based on the blood pressure corresponding to the point of inflection.
