Zusammenfassung:The present invention relates to a composition for preventing, alleviating, or treating liver diseases, comprising a Cosmos sulphureus extract as an active ingredient. More specifically, the present invention relates to a composition for preventing, alleviating, or treating liver diseases, comprising a Cosmos sulphureus extract as an active ingredient, having effects in protecting liver cells, by inhibiting the cytotoxicity due to t-BHP in human liver cell-derived HepG2 cells through the expression of heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1), and by inhibiting the generation of active oxygen species. 본 발명은 노랑코스모스 추출물을 유효성분으로 포함하는 간질환 예방, 개선 또는 치료용 조성물에 관한 것으로, 보다 상세하게는 헤마틴 산화효소-1(heme oxygenase-1, HO-1) 발현을 통하여 사람 간세포 유래 HepG2 세포에서 t-BHP에 의한 세포 독성을 억제하고 활성산소종 생성을 억제하여 간세포 보호 효과를 가지는 노랑코스모스 추출물을 유효성분으로 포함하는 간질환 예방, 개선 또는 치료용 조성물에 관한 것이다.
