Zusammenfassung:The present invention relates to novel uridine diphosphate (UDP)-glycosyltransferase protein which has glycosyltransfer activity for glucose bonded by a glycosidic bond on a number 20 carbon on protopanaxadiol (PPD)-based or protopanaxatriol (PPT)-based ginsenoside. The present invention further relates to a use thereof. According to the present invention, the glycosyltransferase can be useful for the mass-production of specific ginsenoside. 본 발명은 PPD(protopanaxadiol) 계열 또는 PPT(protopanaxatriol) 계열의 진세노사이드의 20번 탄소에 글리코시딕 결합(glycosidic bond)로 연결된 글루코스에 대하여 당전이 활성을 가지는, 신규한 UDP-당전이효소(uridine diphosphate glycosyltransferase) 단백질 및 이의 용도에 관한 것이다.
