| Zusammenfassung: | Provided is a method of manufacturing molded green glass or a glass ceramic article having a predetermined geometric structure without using a mold. The manufacturing method of the present invention can make molded glass articles with high surface quality and fine local textures having homogeneous characteristics regarding, particularly, homogeneous nucleation or crystallization. The manufacturing method of the present invention at least comprises the steps of: providing a sheet-type initial glass having composition of a green glass; supporting the initial glass; and heating parts of the initial glass to obtain initial glass viscosity of 10^9 to 10^4 dPa·s or, particularly, 10^8 to 10^4 dPa·s while maintaining the glass viscosity during supporting step to be above 10^12 dPa·s or, favorably, above 10^13 dPa·s.
