EARTH SURFACE IMAGE GENERATION APPARATUS FOR SIMULATION AND THE IMAGE STORAGE METHOD THEREOF

The present invention relates to an earth′s surface image producing apparatus for simulation, which is capable of creating an earth′s surface image by efficiently extracting the same for simulation. In addition, the present invention further relates to an earth′s surface image storing method. According to the present invention, the simulation apparatus comprises: an image data storing part storing the earth′s surface image in a hierarchical database structure; an image processing part processing and outputting the earth′s surface image data after extracting the same depending on a simulation control command; and an image display part displaying the processed image. The image data storing part is capable of processing the image by fast reading the image of the whole surface of the earth in the simulation, by storing the image of the whole surface of the earth in a tree structure which is equally divided based on an accumulation ratio. 본 발명은 시뮬레이션 구현을 위한 지구표면영상을 효율적으로 추출하여 시현할 수 있도록 구성되는 시뮬레이션용 지구표면영상발생장치 및 지구표면영상저정방법에 관한 것으로서, 지구표면영상이 계층적인 데이터베이스 구조로 저장되는 영상데이터저장부; 시뮬레이션 제어 명령에 따라 상기 지구표면영상데이터를 추출한 후 영상처리하여 출력하는 영상처리부; 및 상기 영상처리된 영상을 표시하는 영상표시부;를 포함하는 시뮬레이션 장치에 있어서, 상기 영상데이터저장부는, 전체지구표면 영상을 축적비에 따라 균등분할된 트리구조로 저장하는 것에 의해, 시뮬레이션 구현 시 전체지구표면 영상을 고속으로 읽어 들어 영상처리를 수행할 수 있도록 하는 효과를 제공한다.
