Zusammenfassung:According to an embodiment of the present invention, a method for enhancing a digital image, which is performed in a computer, comprises the following steps: converting a color space of an inputted digital image into YCbCr from RGB so as to generate a brightness component (Y component), a Cb component, and a Cr component; filtering the brightness component with a smoothing filter having a predetermined cut-off frequency so as to generate an illuminance component (L component); generating a reflected component map based on a reflected component which divides the brightness component into the illuminance component by each pixel; generating the brightness component normalized and corrected based on a histogram of the reflected component map; and converting the corrected brightness component, the Cb component, and the Cr component into the RGB from the YCbCr to generate a digital enhancement image. 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 컴퓨터에서 수행되는 디지털 이미지 향상 방법은 입력되는 디지털 이미지의 색공간을 RGB에서 YCbCr로 변환하여, 휘도 성분(Y 성분), Cb 성분 및 Cr 성분을 생성하는 단계, 휘도 성분을 소정의 컷오프 주파수를 가지는 평활화 필터로 필터링하여 조명 성분(L 성분)을 생성하는 단계, 각 픽셀마다 휘도 성분을 조명 성분으로 나눈 반사 성분에 기초하여 반사 성분 맵을 생성하는 단계, 반사 성분 맵의 히스토그램을 기초로 정규화하여 보정된 휘도 성분을 생성하는 단계 및 보정된 휘도 성분과 Cb 성분 및 Cr 성분을 YCbCr에서 RGB로 변환하여 디지털 향상 이미지를 생성하는 단계를 포함할 수 있다.
