The present invention relates to a device for operating a multimedia terminal for a vehicle during the drive of a vehicle or selectively deactivating an operation limitation function, which is mounted on the multimedia terminal for a vehicle to reduce the danger of a traffic accident caused when an output video is watched, according to necessity. The device for selecting operation limitation in a multimedia terminal for a vehicle according to the present invention comprises: a vehicle signal part (10) for transmitting various signals about the driving state of a vehicle; a multimedia part (20) for outputting videos and audio; and a connector (30) for connecting the vehicle signal part (10) to the multimedia part (20) and transmitting a parking signal, which indicates that a gearshift is in a parking state, and a vehicle velocity signal, which indicates that the velocity of the vehicle exceeds a predetermined velocity, from the vehicle signal part (10) to the multimedia part (20).
