COATING APPARATUS AND COATING METHOD FOR A SUBSTRATE

The present invention provides an apparatus and method for coating a substrate which enables a hardening process of a coating solution by a hardening means followed by a nozzle to be homogenized in order to uniformize the thickness of a coating layer of the substrate even when the nozzle is moved to an upper portion from an end point of a substrate, and also enables flexibility of processing control to be improved. The apparatus (1) for coating a substrate of the present invention coats the substrate (2) with a coating solution discharged from a nozzle (7) supported by a nozzle supporting post (6), which travels a guide rail (5), to be elevated, and hardens the coating solution coated onto the substrate with a hardening means (9). The apparatus (1) comprises a hardening means supporting post (8) for traveling the guide rail (5) independently from the travel of the nozzle supporting post, and supporting the hardening means to be elevated independently from an elevation of the nozzle.
