DISPLAY DEVICE AND METHOD OF DRVING THE SAME

The present invention relates to a display device and a method for driving the same. In particular, a pulse having the same form as a touch voltage in a touch sensing mode is supplied to data lines and gate lines formed in a panel using a self-cap method and an in-cell touch method. To this end, the display device according to the present invention comprises: a panel including a self-cap-type touch panel made of touch electrodes; a data driver for supplying a data voltage to data lines formed in the panel; a gate driver for supplying a scan signal to gate lines formed in the panel; a timing controller for controlling the data driver and the gate driver; a power driver for supplying a power source needed for the data driver and the gate driver; a touch sensing unit for selecting any one of a common voltage or a touch voltage transmitted from the power driver according to a touch enable signal transmitted from the timing controller, and supplying the selected voltage to the touch electrodes; and a switching unit for supplying a driving pulse having the same form as the touch voltage to the panel according to a switching signal transmitted from the timing controller while the touch voltage is supplied to the touch electrodes in a touch sensing mode.
