AMORPHOUS POLYMER FOR OPTICAL MATERIAL, RESIN COMPOSITION, RESIN PELLET, AND RESIN MOLDING

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a polymer having high refractive index, low glass transition temperature, and low double refraction. An amorphous polymer for an optical material of the present invention has a first structural unit represented by chemical formula (1) on a main chain. Herein, R^1 is an alkylene group having two to four carbon atoms, and R^2 is a primary organic group having 1 to 12 carbon atoms. a is an integer number of zero to two, and b is an integer number of zero to six. If a is two numbers or b is multiple numbers, two R^1s or multiple R^2s are the same or different. Multiple R^2s may form a part of a cyclic structure by bonding to each other.
