APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR RATE CONTROL IN THE MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

The present invention relates to a method and a device for controlling the transmission rate in a wireless communications system. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the data transmission rate control device used in the wireless communications system includes a control unit which can update an offset value when the error rate of a channel needs to be corrected by using channel status information including the frame code rate, the occurrence of errors confirmed through a cyclic redundancy check (CRC), and offset values. The control unit also maintains the offset value when the code rate of the channel is at the maximum or minimum and the channel status needs to be prevented to be biased to either side. 본 발명은 무선 통신 시스템에서 전송률 제어에 관한 것으로서, 본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 무선 통신 시스템에서 데이터 전송률 제어를 위한 장치는, 프레임의 부호율(Code Rate), CRC(Cyclic Redundancy Check)를 통한 에러 여부 및 오프셋(Offset_값 등의 채널 상태 정보를 통하여, 상기 채널에 에러율 보정이 필요한 경우, 오프셋 값을 업데이트하고, 상기 채널의 부호율이 최대치 혹은 최저치인 상태이고, 상기 채널의 상태가 어느 한쪽으로 치우치는 것을 방지할 필요가 있을 경우, 오프셋 값을 유지시키는 제어부를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
