Zusammenfassung: | The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a side pumping optical coupler. According to the present invention, the method for manufacturing the side pumping optical coupler in order to couple a pumping light source to the side of a core optical fiber, comprises: a step of arranging an optical fiber which fixes both sides of the core optical fiber and arranges the same to be vertical to the longitudinal direction of the core optical fiber for fusion of at least one pumping optical fiber; a step of heating a fusion unit which heats a domain where the pumping optical fiber is fused on the core optical fiber by using a heating means; a step of tilting the pumping optical fiber which tilts the fused pumping optical fiber towards the core optical fiber; and an optical elongation step which applies heat to the core optical fiber and pumping optical fiber, so the fusion unit, wherein the core optical fiber and pumping optical fiber are fused, is tapered, and ambilaterally elongates the fusion unit.
