Zusammenfassung:	The present invention aims to provide a functional food composition containing a mixture of a Hovenia ducis thunb extract and a bamboo leaf extract for alleviating or preventing constipation. The mixture of a Hovenia ducis thunb extract and a bamboo leaf extract activates intestinal functions and secretion of mucus in an intestine in an animal model using activated carbon, a constipation inducement model, and an intestinal movement capability model. Therefore, the functional food composition not only has an excellent effect of alleviating constipation but also rarely causes problems of toxicity because the composition is derived from natural materials of edible plants. Particularly, the functional food composition has effects of improving functions of the intestine, alleviating and preventing intestinal disease, which is specifically constipation. 헛개나무와 죽옆 추출물의 혼합물은 활성탄(charcoal)을 이용한 동물 모델, 변비유발 실험모델 및 장 운동능력 실험모델에서 장기능 활성을 유도하고, 장내의 점액 분비를 활성화하여 변비 개선에 탁월한 효과를 가질 뿐만 아니라 식품으로 식용하던 식물인 천연물질 유래의 것으로 부작용이나 독성의 문제가 발생될 가능성이 적으므로, 본 발명은 장 기능 개선 및 장 질환, 구체적으로 변비의 개선, 예방 및 치료에 효과가 있다.
