METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR INPUTTING KOREAN ALPHABET IN A TOUCH-INPUT DEVICE

The present invention provides a method for inputting Korean characters using a touch input device. The method includes: a step of receiving information about an initial consonant corresponding to the coordinates of a detected input on an initial consonant receiving area; a step of, in response to consecutive variations of the input coordinates while the input is being maintained, receiving information about a vowel and about a final consonant corresponding to each of the variations of the coordinates and inputting a character formed based on information received from the start point to the end point among the information about the initial consonant, information about the vowel, and information about the final consonant in response to the completion of the input; and a step of displaying a vowel receiving area to receive a vowel based on the received information about the initial consonant and displaying a final consonant receiving area to receive a final consonant based on the received information about the vowel. By doing so, it is possible to reduce the number of inputs to input a Korean character and accordingly input Korean characters efficiently.
