VIBRATION DAMPER FOR AN AUTOMOBILE

The present invention relates to a vibration damper (1) for a vehicle which includes a suspension spring (2). The vibration damper for a vehicle includes a damper pipe (3) having a longitudinal extension shaft (A); a spring sheet (4); a protective insertion unit (9); and a protective bellows (13) having a first end section (14) and a second end section (15), wherein the first end section (14) of the protective bellows (13) is at least indirectly fixed to a piston rod (16), and the second end section (15) of the protective bellows (13) surrounds the damper pipe (3) in the circumferential direction. The protective insertion unit (9) has one or more support sections (17) extended toward a radial outer portion, wherein the second end section (15) of the protective bellows (13) is axially supported by the support section (17) of the protective insertion unit (9) under a defined initial stress in the axial direction, and the support section (17) is radially extended from the longitudinal extension shaft 9A0 of the damper pipe by crossing an inner diameter(d) of a final coil (18) of the suspension spring (2) supported by the spring sheet (4).
