Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to a bearing member (1) including a bearing core (2) and a bearing sleeve (3), wherein a bearing body (4) is disposed between the bearing core (2) and the bearing sleeve (3) and a protective cap (5) protects the bearing body (4) from environmental influences. In order to securely fixate the protective cap (5) to the bearing member (1), the protective cap (5) is fixed by a closed part (6), the closed part (6) is coupled to the periphery of the bearing member (1) and is formed by two half-shells (7, 8) which are substantially symmetrical to each other, and the closed part (6) is joined to the periphery of the bearing member (1), surrounds at least one section of the steering linkage (11) of the driving device of a vehicle, and protects the section from heat.
