Zusammenfassung:The present invention relates to a positive electrode active material coated with a complex metal oxide having electric conductivity, a manufacturing method thereof and lithium secondary batteries including the same. The coated positive electrode active material includes a coating layer having a complex metal oxide to surround positive electrode active materials and the positive electrode active material wherein the complex metal oxide included in the coating layer has a pyrochlore structure with electric conductivity. Therefore, the coated positive electrode active material improves life service properties of batteries and has a high electric conductivity by having the (stoichiometric) pyrochlore structure, thereby providing positive electrode active materials with improved high rate discharge properties. Furthermore, if lithium batteries are manufactured by using the coated positive electrode active material, lithium batteries which have little corrosion under high voltages and are used as large-sized batteries can be provided. 본 발명은 전기전도성 복합금속산화물이 코팅된 양극활물질, 이의 제조방법 및 이를 포함하는 리튬이차전지에 관한 것으로, 상기 코팅된 양극활물질은 양극활물질 및 상기 양극활물질을 감싸는 복합금속산화물을 포함하는 코팅층을 포함하고, 상기 코팅층에 포함되는 복합금속산화물은 전기전도성이 있는 파이로클로르 구조(pyrochlore structure)를 가지는 것으로서, 전지의 수명특성을 향상시킬 수 있음과 동시에 (화학양론적인) 파이로클로르 구조를 가짐으로써 높은 전기 전도성 또한 나타내어, 고율방전 특성을 향상된 코팅된 양극활물질을 제공한다. 나아가, 상기 코팅된 양극활물질을 이용하여 리튬이차전지를 제작하면 고전압하에서도 부식현상이 적고, 중대형 전지로의 활용이 가능한 리튬이차전지를 제공할 수 있다.
