Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to an electronic device and a method for supplying power to an accessory based on the charging status of the accessory. According to the present invention, the method comprises: a step of applying a current to the accessory and recognizing one among a first ID resistor value and a second ID resistor value determined in advance; a step of determining whether the accessory is connected to a power source based on the recognized ID resistor value; and a step of determining whether to supply power to the accessory depending on whether the accessory is connected to the power source or not.
