CLAMPING UNIT FOR AN INJECTION MOLDING MACHINE AND INJECTION MOLDING MACHINE WITH A CLAMPING UNIT

The present invention relates to a clamping unit for an injection molding machine, the clamping unit including a machine frame (1) having a shape like the letter ″C″. A fixed mold fixing block (3) is supported by one leg (2) of the machine frame(1), and a clamping mechanical unit for driving a movable mold fixing block (5) to move in a longitudinal direction (L) of the machine frame (1) is supported by the other leg (4) of the machine fame (1). Free end portions of the legs (2, 4) of the machine frame (1) are deformed by an influence of a clamping force generated during a clamping process. The fixed mold fixing block (3) is supported against a clamping force by a supporting member (7), which is included in the machine frame (1) at a lower edge (6) of the fixed mold fixing block or at an area adjacent to the lower edge. The fixed mold fixing block (3) is connected to the leg (2) at an upper portion of the lower edge (6). The supporting member (7) includes a bending beam (71) extending in a lateral direction with respect to a longitudinal axis (L) of the machine and a compression strut (72) extending in the longitudinal direction (L) of the machine. The bending beam (71) is connected to the machine frame (1) without a clearance, and preferably coupled to the machine frame by a screw.
