Zusammenfassung:The present invention relates to a settlement management apparatus and a deposit processing method which process a paid deposit by using a card with respect to an amount of refund which is previously paid according to a tax refund service. For this, the card is approved by using a portion or whole of the amount of refund which is paid to a purchaser using the tax refund service as the deposit. Also, when the purchaser leaves the country, the deposit which is paid through approval of the card is collected or returned based on whether a product purchased according to the tax refund service is taken out of the country.
