Zusammenfassung:The present invention relates to a device and a method for controlling a gas range by sensing absence during cooking. More specifically, the method for controlling a gas range by sensing absence during cooking includes: a step that a control unit determines whether a user selects a distance escape function or not with a distance escape function selection unit when a gas range starts to heat and cook; a step of automatically wireless-connecting the gas range with a mobile wireless communication device at regular time intervals using the control unit if a distance escape function is selected by a user; a step of determining whether predetermined data is received from the mobile wireless communication device of a user or the strength of electric wave received from the mobile wireless communication device is more than or equal to the predetermined standard strength set in the control unit; and a step of safely turning of the gas range by forcibly closing a solenoid valve if the predetermined data is not received from the mobile wireless communication device or the strength of electric wave received from the mobile wireless communication device is less than the standard strength. Therefore, the device and the method for controlling a gas range by sensing absence during cooking can prevent economical loss or consumption of unnecessary gas and prevent fire caused by overheat by safely turning off a gas range if the user is out when the gas range is used or is unable to immediately operate the gas range, thereby remarkably improving safety and reliability of use of gas range and remarkably increasing usage and productivity of the product.
