The present invention relates to an event-based vehicle information acquiring method comprising: a step (a) in which a vehicle information collecting server receives first event information including position information from each of a plurality of first vehicle information terminals; a step (b) in which the vehicle information collecting server stores the received first event information on the first vehicle information terminals; a step (c) in which the vehicle information collecting server receives second event information including position information according to an accident occurrence event from a second vehicle information terminal; and a step (c) in which the vehicle information collecting server selects one or more first vehicle information terminals among the first vehicle information terminals based on the received second event information and the stored first event information. By using the present invention, evidence of a traffic accident can be automatically secured at a low cost.
