According to an embodiment of the present invention, the canister-type thruster comprises: a canister installed inside a trunk of a hull or a floating structure to be lifted; a guide device for guiding the lifting of the canister; a buoyancy control tank arranged in the canister; and a buoyancy control device for controlling buoyancy to lift the canister by charging the buoyancy control tank with water or discharging the water from the buoyancy control tank.
