Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to a method for treating depression by optogenetic stimulation at left medial prefrontal cortex. More specifically, it is verified that a social interaction due to stress is closely associated with left medial prefrontal cortex, and that the social interaction can be controlled by optogenetic stimulation at the left medial prefrontal cortex based on the above results. Therefore, the method for expressing channel rhodopsin at the left medial prefrontal cortex can be effectively used to treat depression using an optogenetic stimulation means.
