Zusammenfassung:	An imaging apparatus is disclosed. The imaging apparatus comprises: an image unit for photographing an external image; an area decision unit for dividing photographed previous and current image frames into multiple areas, and calculating a moving direction and a distance of each area of the current image frame corresponding to each area of the previous image frame, and determining a background and an object by applying predetermined background and object models based on the calculated moving directions and the distances; and a posture estimation unit for identifying body parts of the decided object based on a body part model, and determining a posture of the object by combining the identified body parts. As a result, the imaging apparatus can distinguish a background and an object of an image frame in various environments and can identify a posture of an object.
