Zusammenfassung:	A turbine including: at least one rotor (2301) mounted on a drive shaft (2302) and adapted to allow current to flow in a radial direction; at least one electromagnetic coil (2300 1 , 2300 2 ) positioned on each side of the at least one rotor (2301), the electromagnetic coils generating: a substantially axial magnetic field across the at least one rotor (2301) for interaction with the radial current flow, and one or more regions of null magnetic field (2309); and at least one current transfer means (2303 1 , 2303 2 ) electrically coupled to the at least one rotor (2301) and at least a portion of the current transfer means (2303 1 , 2303 2 ) positioned in the one or more null magnetic field regions (2309).
