Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to a system and a method for facilitating data allocation in a storage device. The method for facilitating data allocation in a storage device includes carrying out analysis of the present and past requests for input/ output to access data. The analysis draws a result including data hotness and access pattern in the storage device. The hotness and access pattern are acquired by monitoring working sets of files related to the request for input/output within the storage device, and the data allocation in the storage device is updated based on the result of the analysis.
