Zusammenfassung:	A process, a system and an equipment can be used for converting a carbonaceous fuel to an output gas stream containing CO as a major C-containing product. In some embodiments, H2 may be generated in separate reactors by the process and the system and advantageously combines with CO from a partial oxidation process to produce a synthesis gas, and the synthesis gas can be used to recreate a fuel and a chemical substance. Such a process and a system can be circulated so as not to create a significant amount of CO and do not require an air separation unit.
