Zusammenfassung:Disclosed are a tax refund system and a method thereof. Here, the tax refund system includes: a refund operation server which stores purchase history by mapping the purchase history with passport information of a purchaser, and generates refund information by checking the passport information included in a refund request and the mapped purchase history; a first unmanned automatic teller machine which is connected to the refund operation server through a network, is installed in a tax area of an airport, and is inputted with purchase information and the passport information capable of identifying the purchase history to transmit the purchase information and the passport information to the refund operation sever and then request mapping; and a second unmanned automatic teller machine which is connected to the refund operation server through the network, is installed in a tax-free area of the airport, and receives the refund information by transmitting the refund request including the inputted passport information to the refund operation server to pay a refund money according to the refund information.
