Zusammenfassung:	Disclosed are a system and a method for scanning a battery cell in order to identify an internal fault. In a predetermined embodiment of the present invention, the method for scanning the battery cell for the fault may include a step of generating an input signal over a first charge plate and a second charge plate which are disposed on each side of the battery cell. The present invention may measure open circuit voltage of the battery cells which are generated in response to the input signal. The measured open circuit voltage may be compared with a reference signal related to a reference battery cell which does not have faults. Based on the comparison, the present invention can identify the fault in the battery cells to be scanned and / or potential faults.
