Zusammenfassung:	According to an aspect of the present invention, a semiconductor light emitting device includes a light transmitting substrate having a first surface and a second surface, opposed to the first surface; a light emitting structure having a first conductive semiconductor layer, an active layer, and a second conductive semiconductor layer, which are arranged in order on the first surface of the substrate; a first electrode and a second electrode connected to the first conductive semiconductor layer and the second conductive semiconductor layer, respectively; and a window layer which is formed with a light transmitting material, different from the material of the substrate, on the second surface of the substrate, and includes an inclined side. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the semiconductor light emitting device having enhanced light efficiency can be obtained.
